A Few Words About Us

District Elder Raymond Johnson is a native of St. Louis, Missouri. He was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and received the Holy Ghost gift at 12 years old. This was under the leadership of the late Bishop Robert Grier (Bethlehem Healing Temple; L.W.A.F.). In 1989 he was called to the ministry and became an ordained minister (Elder) in 1994. Pastor Johnson served faithfully under the leadership of his father in the gospel, Bishop Charles Webb, for over 22 years. He functioned as Youth President, Sunday School Teacher, Associate Elder, and Musician. Elder Johnson was installed as pastor of New Mt Olive Pentecostal Power Church in October 2006. Elder Johnson was promoted to the office of District Elder in 2012 by Pentecostal Power Churches Inc.
District Elder Johnson now serves as the Pentecostal Power Churches Northern District Superintendent. He has been married to Missionary Yvonne Johnson for over 32 years, a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. She shares with him their calling to Jesus Christ, the New Mount Olive Pentecostal Power Church family, and the life-changing ministry vision set before them; they are proud parents of two children: Raymond (Victoria), Sheila, and two grandchildren, Raymond IV and Naomi. Pastor and Elect Lady Johnson are fulfilling their vocation of Christian ministry and have a heart for the souls of men and women.

We Believe

The gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. We express our belief in the gospel through our obedience to the gospel. We obey the gospel and apply it to our lives by repenting of our sins (death to sin), being baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins (burial), and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit (resurrection). This threefold experience is the consistent pattern of conversion in the early church (1 Cor. 15:1-4; 2 Thess. 1:8; 1 Pet. 4:17; Mark 1:15; Acts 15:7; Rom. 6:3-4; Acts 2:4, 37-39; 8:9-17; 10:1-48; 19:1-7).
